On Thursday, March 5, in honor of International Women’s Day,( which is March 8th) the acclaimed documentary “A Powerful Noise,” will be featured in 450 movie theatres nationwide. This is a one-night event, which takes you inside the lives of three women from different countries to witness their daily efforts to fight HIV/AIDS, champion girls’ education and unite ethnically divided communities.
The film will be immediately followed by a town hall discussion with expert and celebrity panelists – including Nicholas Kristof, Madeleine Albright, Christy Turlington Burns and Dr. Helene Gayle, President of CARE USA - broadcast live from New York City to participating theatres.
Our Meetup will attend the screening at AMC Century City. However, if more convenient for you, feel free to join any other screening in a theater closer to you. For participating theaters see website below.
