What's Obama-new in the fight against slavery? Get up-dated, get involved!

It's time to roll up our sleeves again and renew the Meetup's commitment to fighting human trafficking in Southern California.

Please join us for an evening filled with information about how the new administration is planning on fighting human trafficking and a screening and discussion of the short documentary "Dreams Die Hard".

It is also time to decide and plan on a new hands-on public awareness or fundraising event in our local communities.

Here are a few options to ponder, but new ideas for events are of course always welcome:

* Public screening of 'Call&Response' or 'Amazing Grace'; ticket sales go to local anti-human trafficking non-profit
* 'Made by Survivors' product sale house party
* Grassroots photographs - hold a 'Slavery still exists' photo table
