About The Los Angeles Fight Human Trafficking Meetup

We are an un-affiliated but well-connected group of people who care about ending modern slavery.

Vision
To eradicate modern day slavery in Los Angeles and assist in the global effort

Mission Statement
Action: Mobilize a group of volunteers to assist with non-profits and their initiatives.
Awareness: To provide resources to people who are unaware of the issue in a variety of communities.

Success Stories
- A survivor of human trafficking shared her personal story
- Several experts in the field discussed how volunteers can most effectively fight modern day slavery
- Raised over $1000 for Polaris at our garage sale and spoke to 100 people about the issue
- Reached out to 200-300 people at Cal State Long Beach at the Human Trafficking Awareness Fair on November 17
- Spoke to 700 students at David Starr Jordan High School in January
- Created over 25 Freedom Bags for LA-based CAST which provide basic supplies for recently rescued victims

How will you help end human trafficking? This Meetup group can accomplish only what our members contribute so we encourage everyone to give their input and ideas!
